We are so proud to be one of the chosen Mayoral charities for Hillingdon 2021/22, and our mission is to support young people known to social care in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The funds raised through this appeal will help to provide advice, support and practical items for the young people, including  but not limited to:
  • weekly catch-ups and activity sessions covering topics such as healthy relationships and sexual exploitation
  • cooking sessions
  • toiletries/cleaning products/homeware
  • trips out and enrichment activities
  • a safe space to discuss issues and achievements
  • bespoke care kits containing items such as toasters, kettles, bedding and other essentials for care leavers to set up their own home
  • emergency clothing, shoes and interview clothes
  • white goods in an emergency to families who have fled abuse
A high majority of these young people will have experienced at least one form of domestic abuse. I will be visiting the residential placements they reside in to offer this outreach service and will be working hard to make a positive difference to their lives.

The project also hopes to provide an opportunity for the young people to make positive memories which will last into adulthood, and a link to the charities support if they need it in the future.

 Leaving Care Packs

It's very important to us to try to ensure our Young People have the basic necessities they need, when they leave the Social Care system and move into their own adult accommodation. We are very grateful for all the good quality items the general public donate to us as are we for the financial support we receive that enables us to purchase these items for our Young people who in turn are so very grateful too!
